The Sioux Falls Municipal Band

Christopher HillChristopher Hill is well-known to Sioux Falls audiences for his performances with the South Dakota Symphony, Dakota Wind Quintet, Sioux Falls Big Band, Sioux Falls Community Playhouse, and, of course, the Sioux Falls Municipal Band.

Additionally, Mr. Hill has performed nationally and internationally with some of the world's most prestigious musical organizations, including the New Sousa Band, Carousel National Tour, Evita World Tour, Rome Festival, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, and The Philadelphia Orchestra. He has performed at the International Clarinet Association's Clarfest 2005 in Tokyo, Japan. He and John Walker have released a CD of the music they performed in Tokyo.

Mr. Hill has conducted the South Dakota Symphony, Clark Municipal Band, Somerset Hills Wind Ensemble, and Hunterdon Symphony, as well as various church choirs and ensembles. He has soloed with the Sioux Falls Municipal Band, South Dakota Symphony, and at the White House with the Blawenberg Band. He has also performed with such internationally renowned artists as Glen Campbell, The Moody Blues, Mannheim Steamroller, the Canadian Brass, Ray Charles, Bobby McFerrin, Lee Greenwood, and Don McLean.

Committed to promoting culture and the arts in the Sioux Falls community, Mr. Hill aided in the planning of the Washington Pavilion. Mr. Hill holds Bachelor's and Master's of Music degrees from Temple University.
