Wedding Reservations

Parks and Recreation will help with your weekend outdoor wedding arrangements by scheduling one of the following four park locations for your wedding:

• Sherman Park Gazebo - No charge.
• McKennan Park Sunken Gardens - No charge.
• Terrace Park Japanese Gardens and Band Shell - No charge.
• Tuthill Park House and Gardens - $20 per hour non-refundable charge, which is due with wedding reservation application.
  Note: No Tuthill Park Weddings will be booked from August 18, 2008 through December 31, 2008, due to a road construction project in the park.

During the months of May through September, wedding events may be scheduled during two time blocks on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays:

• Noon to 4 p.m.
• 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Area maintenance will take place before 12 noon and from 4 to 6 p.m.
• Only one time block per day may be reserved.

During the months of May through September, wedding events may be scheduled in hour increments on Mondays through Thursdays:

• 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

2008 Early Wedding Reservation Process

• Wedding reservations for 2008 will be accepted by application only.
• Wedding events for calendar year 2008 may be scheduled by submitting a wedding application form to the Park Office by mail or in person.
• The earliest date to deliver or mail an application to schedule a 2008 wedding is November 1, 2007. Please click Wedding Application to view or print the application form.
• Please click Wedding Policy to view or print the complete wedding policy. The application form and policy are also available at the Park Office.
• During the early reservation period for 2008 weddings, applications delivered or postmarked from November 1, 2007 through November 30, 2007 will be accepted.
• Only one application per wedding will be accepted. Submission of multiple applications will disqualify all applications.
• All 2008 wedding applications received during this early reservation period will be considered between December 1 and December 15, 2007.
• Any conflicts in reservation requests will be resolved by lottery.
• Any person not receiving the requested reservation date will be contacted to make arrangements for a different date, time,or location.
• Written reservation confirmation for applications received during the early reservation period will be mailed on or before December 15 each year.
• Wedding rehearsals may be scheduled by phone after a wedding reservation has been confirmed. Please call the Park Office at 605-367-8222.
• Wedding applications postmarked or delivered after November 30 will be considered and confirmed after December 15 as they are received.
